Winter Weather Advisory has been extended to 5:00 p.m.

Baltimore, MD (Arundel News Network) – The National Weather Service has extended the Winter Weather Advisory until 5:00 p.m. today. They are now saying that up to 2 inches of snow could be dropped on our area.

We have confirmed that some of the roads in Anne Arundel County including back roads are slippery. Please allow extra time while driving.

WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations less than an inch. Total snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Snow will end by this evening. *

WHERE...Anne Arundel and Southeast Montgomery Counties.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on snow covered and icy roads. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. When venturing outside, watch your first few steps taken on steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall.
