Edgewater Fire leaves two displaced

Edgewater, Maryland (Arundel News Network) – A fire in the 300 block of Oakwood Road in Edgewater on Saturday caused $150,000 in damages.

Around 9:20 p.m. on Saturday the Anne Arundel County Fire Department units were dispatched to the 300 block of Oakwood Road in Edgewater for a reported house fire. It took 46 firefighters a little over 30 minutes to put the fire under control. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Two adults who lived at the house have been displaced but are being assisted by the Red Cross.

Additional Information:  Firefighters arrived to find fire throughout the structure as well as through the roof of a single-family dwelling. The fire was brought under control in about 35 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation by members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit. Two adults have been displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
