Millersville, Maryland (Arundel News Network) – On Thursday February 14 around 2:59 p.m. Northern District officers responded to the 5200 block of Wasena Avenue in Brooklyn for a reported burglary. The 911 caller stated to dispatchers that his mother had been murdered and a suspect had ran out of the residence. Upon arrival officers, they found an adult female with apparent trauma. Fire personnel were also summoned to the location and pronounced the female deceased. The female had been identified as Donna Lee Faulkner, a 52-year-old female.
Brent Faulkner, the 911 caller, was transported to the Criminal Investigation Division to be interviewed by detectives. Detectives conducted a full canvass of the area and interviewed witnesses.
Evidence was collected from Brent Faulkner’s person and clothing that he was wearing. The crime scene indicated that a struggle took place inside the residence where Ms. Faulkner tried to defend herself during the assault. Fresh injuries were identified and documented on Brent Faulkner’s body.
Brent Faulkner was identified as the suspect in the murder of his mother. He was charged with first and second degree murder of Dona Faulkner. Evidence that was collected indicated that this was a targeted incident and not a random act of violence.
This is a very active and fluid investigation even though an arrest has been made.
