BALTIMORE, MD (ANN) – It’s one and done for Ravens WR Michale Crabtree.
The Ravens announced on Monday that they have released the veteran Wide Receiver. Crabtree signed a 3 year, $21 million deal last March. However he never produced. He started 16 games and totaled 54 catches for 607 yards and three touchdowns on 100 targets for a career-low 54 percent catch percentage.
The move will save the Ravens about $4.7 million in salary cap space. The move also confirms that Baltimore will go through its second overhaul of its wide receiver corps in as many offseasons.
With WR John Brown being a pending unrestricted free agent, the Ravens will have a much different look at wideout again in 2018. Willie Snead is the only big-time producer (62 receptions, 651 yards, one touchdown) that is under contract.
