Serious Collison in Riva

Riva, Maryland (Arundel News Network) – On Friday (March 8) just after 7:00 p.m. firefighters responded to a head on collision with an occupant trapped on the south river ridge (3000 block of Riva Road). Arriving firefighters found a two vehicle collision in which a pickup truck struck a sedan head on. The driver of the sedan was briefly trapped until extricated by firefighters.

There was a total of 5 patients which all were transported to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Two patients, a 33-year-old male and 47-year-old female had injuries that were serious but not believed to be life-threatening. Three patients, 18-year-old male, 21-year-old male and a 50-year-old female had injuries that were possibly serious.
