Arnold Dwelling Fire

Arnold, Maryland (Arundel News Network) – On March 12 the Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to the 500 block of Martingale Lane just after 7:00 p.m.

Multiple callers were received by the 9-1-1 dispatch Communication Center for a house fire. Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire from the deck, roof and attic of the residence. It took firefighters about 40 minutes to bring the fire under control. The occupants of the home were not home at the time of the incident. The fire was contained to the dwelling of the origin. Smoke and water damage was sustained by two adjoining units. The residence did not have functioning smoke alarms and residential sprinkler system.

The department’s response was expanded to a second alarm. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The estimated dollar loss of the fire has not been determined.
