BOWIE, Md (ANN) – The Bowie Baysox will host the 20th annual Free Family FunFest event, on Saturday, March 30, at Prince George’s Stadium from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. FunFest is FREE to attend for everyone, and features free rides and games in Louie’s Kids Park, live music and dozens of interactive events and activities from many Baysox sponsors and partners.
Single game tickets for all 70 home games during the Baysox 2019 season go on sale for the first time at FunFest and the stadium box office will be open throughout the day.
Throughout the event, fans can hang out with Baysox fun-loving mascots Louie and Rocko, along with the Oriole Bird. There will also be several carnival-style games on the concourse for kids to enjoy Fan will have a chance to go on tours of the clubhouse and walk the warning track. There will be raffles for fans to enter, a Baysox game-worn jersey sale, face painting for kids over two-dozen interactive sponsor booths and much more.
The Bowie Police Department will be on hand with police cars, along with horses from the Maryland National Capital Park Police Mounted Unit, an ambulance and fire truck from Prince George’s Fire & EMS, and motorcycle officers from the Maryland National Capital Park Police. The Prince George’s County Fire Department will also have a CPR station set up on the concourse for fans to learn new CPR techniques.
The team’s 2019 home opener will be Thursday, April 11 against the Harrisburg Senators at 6:35 p.m.
