Toronto, Canada (Arundel News Network) – The Orioles traveled north of the border to face the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday evening. The Orioles beat the Jays 6-5.
David Hess carried the birds with a no hitter for 6 2/3 innings and throwing 88 pitches. The Birds started their scoring in the first inning. Jonathan Villar homered to left field. Chris Davis who is struggling this season (0-9) walked to scoring Trey Mancini.
The Jays had no luck scoring against the Orioles until the 7th inning. Randal Crichuk hit a two-run homerun in the seventh and Freddy Galvis hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the eighth. The Orioles gave up two more runs in the bottom of ninth inning by a sac-fly and a triple to Teoscar Herandez.
The Orioles went 6 for 32 while the Blue Jays went 6 for 31.
