O’s Beat Jays, Go For Sweep

TORONTO (ANN) — Orioles starter Andrew Cashner bounced back after a bad first start Wednesday night in Toronto. Cashner turned in six shutout innings, giving up four hits and three walks to set up a 2-1 win by the O’s as they improved their record to 4-1.

The O’s got their first run of the game in the 6th on a Jonathan Villar triple, which scored Dwight Smith Jr. Red hot Trey Mancini then picked up an RBI to make it a 2-0 game.

Chris Davis had another bad night at the plate going 0-3 with 2 K’s. He was walked once.

On Deck: The Orioles go for the sweep Wednesday as Nate Karns will go against Matt Shoemaker at 4pm
