National Aquarium delays relocating dolphins

Baltimore, Maryland (ANN) – For over two years the National Aquarium in Baltimore has been working to find a suitable location to return their 7 bottle nose dolphins to the Caribbean or to Florida water. That plan has come to a temporary halt.

The aquarium has announced that it is delaying their relocation program for their dolphins for the foreseeable future after they vetoed 50 different locations for a suitable sanctuary in the Caribbean and the Florida area due to seawater rise, water pollution, and extreme storms.

The relocation was scheduled for next year.
