Pedestrian Hit by Train in Odenton

Odenton, MD (ANN) – Just before 7:30 a.m. on May 16, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to the 500 block of Old Waugh Chapel Road in Odenton for a reported pedestrian struck.

Firefighters responded to the call on the railroad tracks just south of the Amtrak Maintenance Center. Firefighters located an adult female estimated to be in her 20’s who had been struck by a train and sustained critical and possibly life-threatening injuries. Paramedics requested the assistance of the Maryland State Police medevac which landed ta the Piney Orchard Elementary School.

The Amtrak Police Department is the primary investigating agency.
