Western District Officers pull more drugs off the Street

Severn, MD (ANN) – On Wednesday May 22 the Western District Tactical Narcotics Team and Tactical Patrol Unit executed a search warrant int he 8200 block of Stewarton Court in Severn as part of a CDS distribution investigation. As a result of the warrant the following items were located and seized

  • 8.62 grams of cocaine (est. street value $863.00)
  • 8.63 grams of crack cocaine (est. street value $863.00)
  • 4.15 grams of heroin (est. street value $498.00)
  • One loaded Glock .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun
  • $996.00 US Currency seized
  • Several items of paraphernalia

The investigation was made possible in part due to funds provided by the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention which funds the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network.

Joshua Warren of the 8200 block of Stewarton Court was arrested. He was charged with three counts of CDS: Possession of not marijuana, two counts of possession with intent to distribute narcotics, possession of a firearm, illegal possession of possible ammunition, two counts CDS distribution with a firearm, firearm possession with a felony conviction, manufacturing CDS narcotics, and narcotics production equipment per online court records. He was initially held without bond. He has his bail review today at 1:30 p.m.

Warren was also charged with other drug-related charges earlier this month. He was charged with possession of CDS no marijuana, alter physical evidence crime and resisting/interfering with an arrest. He was released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on August 20 for trial.

Gregory Sharps was also arrested. He is from the 8200 block of Stewarton Court. He was charged with CDS: Possession not marijuana, narcotics: production equipment and CDS: possession of paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.
